Lalna stumbles through the darkness, his coat catching and ripping on the different branches that reach out to him from the sides of the narrow path. It was stupid to have come here, so stupid… Why had he done it? Why had he made the trip? Risked his life, his friends’ lives? It was all just so stupid, and all his fault. He would have to pay now, and pay in his own blood if he didn’t get away, and fast… It is too late already though, this he knows, especially as he feels the prickling paint in his fingers and toes, feels it travel up his arms and legs… He trips as he loses control of his feet, and he knows it is too late as his boots and gloves explode into a mess of black rubber thanks to the pressure put on them. The blond, with the tips of his hair turning brown, yells with pain and worry as he looks down to see what he dreads: wood. It is happening again.
“Guys!” he screams, reaching out to where he had seen them disappear into the darkness just minutes before. “Help me! Please! I- I can’t-” Lalna cuts off as the prickling reaches up his throat, where he coughs violently, getting nothing but sawdust, woodchips, and plenty of splinters in return. He starts to cry as he realizes it’s over for him, leaving the brown that crawls up his face a shade darker as his tears soak in. Of course, he can’t cry for much more than a few minutes longer, and then it happens. Game over.

This is just a fic that came to me out of nowhere... Finally! No more writer's block! It's been a over year--yes, a freaking year--since I've had a story idea that I actually liked (the last being something for SV)! Now, ah-HA, my mind seems to have come back to life! It's amazing!
*cracks knuckles, settles at keyboard, preparing to write like there's no tomorrow*
Problem is, there is a tomorrow. With all honors (well, gifted, which is even more difficult) classes and one for talented art, gosh, so much homework! More than the normal student, which is already a lot... So yeah, that's why you haven't seen much from me lately. Sorry. Got a lot on my plate, sadly... Curse you, high school!
Also, I have a small challenge. Or rather, I'm requesting help. Got a Diabetes run I'm preparing for... Anyone have any creative ideas for a team name and pic? A Yog reference would be great, but I doubt it'll happen... Anyway, must go work on that homework now! Later!
